Sizing & Fit
How do I choose the right size?
Measure your child's foot from heel to longest toe, then match the length to our size guide on each product page — it's far more reliable than guessing by age. If their foot falls between two sizes, we recommend sizing up to leave a little room to grow.
What if I order the wrong size?
No problem at all. If they're not the right fit, you can return or exchange them within 30 days. We'd rather help you get the perfect pair than have you keep one that isn't right.
Are they suitable for wide feet?
Yes — this is exactly what they're made for. The wide, foot-shaped front gives little toes plenty of room to spread, so they're ideal for chunky or wider feet that struggle in regular shoes.
Do they run true to size?
Yes, they're designed to be true to size. We still always recommend measuring your child's foot and checking the guide rather than going by age, as every child grows differently.
What ages do they fit?
Our sizes typically suit children from around 1 to 3 years. Because children grow at different rates, please measure their foot and check the size guide rather than relying on age alone.
The Shoes
What makes them different from regular toddler shoes?
They're wide and foot-shaped rather than narrow, with a flexible sole and no stiff structure — so little feet can move freely and naturally, close to the feeling of being barefoot. They also slip straight on, with no laces or fiddly straps.
Are they easy to get on?
Very. Many toddlers can even put them on themselves.
Will they stay on, or will my toddler kick them off?
The snug, stretchy fit hugs the foot and stays put through running, climbing and play — so no more shoes lost in the stroller or at the park.
Are they good for first walkers?
Yes — they're designed for little ones on the move, with a flexible sole and a foot-shaped fit that lets feet move freely and naturally.
Can they be worn with or without socks?
Both work well. The soft knit is comfortable against bare feet in warmer weather, and roomy enough to wear with socks too.
Care
Can I wash them?
Yes — they're machine-washable. Pop them in a laundry bag on a cool, gentle cycle and let them air-dry. Avoid tumble-drying or direct heat, which can affect the knit and sole.

Where do you ship?
We deliver across the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
How long will my order take?
Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days. After dispatch, delivery takes:
- United Kingdom: 3–7 business days
- Canada, Australia & New Zealand: 5–10 business days
You'll receive tracking details by email once your order ships.
How much is delivery?
Delivery is free on all orders, to every country we ship to.
Can I track my order?
Yes — once your order ships, you'll receive a confirmation email with tracking information. It can take 24–48 hours for tracking to update after dispatch.
Returns & Exchanges
What's your returns policy?
If your shoes aren't quite right, you can return or exchange them within 30 days of delivery, as long as they're unworn and in their original condition. Full details are on our Returns & Refund Policy page.
How do I return or exchange something?
Just email us at help@pippaandvale.com within 30 days with your name, order number, and whether you'd like a refund or exchange. We'll reply within 24–48 hours with instructions.
What if my shoes arrive damaged or faulty?
Please contact us straight away at help@pippaandvale.com and we'll arrange a replacement or full refund at no cost to you. We may ask for a quick photo to help us sort it out.
